Cherry Tree (free) 03:03 video
Waiting for the chance to come To piss up on a snowman And punch him in the lungs Feelin’ like a big fat no one Move it along Singing this song Meet me by the cherry tree I don’t wanna bite ya But I can’t help myself I can’t help myself (x3) Dancin’ like you’re Mr. Fun Hey do you wanna come over? For a sticky bun Schemin’ on a two mile run Haters know I’m the one I’m the vinaigrette step-son Meet me by the cherry tree I don’t wanna bite ya But I can’t help myself I can’t help myself (x3)

Time [Electric] (free) 03:27
Time is a friend That you can depend On stealing money From your wallet and pants And time is a curse It’s a big dumb black hearse It takes you for a ride Then leaves you in the dirt A baby was born A mother she died A fat guy he lied And an innocent criminal tried Teenagers in cars Driving past bars That stare as they pass Ready for their first scars Grandparents sing Ice cream trucks ring Summer is here Then on to the next thing A movie was made A neighborhood sprayed A college kid dreamt of being laid and paid A lullaby blows Through Times Square through smoke A vacation spent On weed and coke A young girl looks at The clocks on the wall With blurry vision Because you can’t be bald If you never had hair To lose at all This second you’re here Enjoy that is all you can Do

Music Video - youtu.be/LYKHAeAhBYk

"Cherry Tree" is the second single from CHUCK's final LP, 'Frankenstein Songs for the Grocery Store,' out August 18th on limited 180 gram vinyl. "Time" is a non-album b-side.

About the new album, Charles Griffin Gibson had this to say:

“My new album, Frankenstein Songs for the Grocery Store, will be my last as CHUCK. But it's been a great run! I've been making DIY music since I was in High School. If you haven't done it, I can't explain how fun it is to build songs by yourself. It's a magical thing. But I know my path is leading elsewhere, and I'm not made for the music biz. I'm 30. I'm married. I have a full-time job. I just don't have it in me anymore. So without further adieu, please enjoy the final CHUCK record. It's got songs about diet, exercise, work, love, T.V. and animals.”

Previous Press:
“Seriously, do not let this one pass you by...Love it or hate it, Chuck will make you feel something to turn your day on its head.” – GOLD FLAKE PAINT

“He tells us of the forgotten people of New York City, the dead end jobs, the bottomless hopelessness of keeping a dying relationship alive....but also the romance of a night spent on a rooftop, or sleeping on a beach, or the chase for one last drink at one last bar.” – THE LINE OF BEST FIT

“Straddling the line between bedroom pop and high fidelity indie rock....Both gorgeous and joyously rough-around-the-edges.” - DIY MAG

“Encapsulates the feel of travel to amusement parks, train rides, boardwalk bound feelings, the feel of sand between your toes, seasonal loves, and books read to chase away any inkling of boredom.” – IMPOSE MAGAZINE

“Goofy simplicity...its nostalgia shows most in the balance between a sunny melody and little pokes that could only come from an observer with a bit of distance...” - BEDFORD & BOWERY
